A school ski tour to Prato Nevoso and Artesina offers a friendly, welcoming atmosphere that makes it feel extremely safe and suitable for school groups. This is also a great choice of location for school ski trips to Italy as there is a fantastic beginners’ area, as well as some lovely long blue runs, that most students will be able to progress on to by the end of the week, giving students a real sense of achievement. There are more challenging reds available on the Artesina side for the more advanced skiers in your party too. In total, Prato Nevoso offers 100km of well-groomed piste and is served by 27 lifts. Catching plenty of that magnificent Italian sunshine, Prato Nevoso/Artesina also benefits from a great snow record, thanks to its high altitude (the village sits high at 1500m, with skiable piste up to 2300m). In addition to this, 95% of the resort is covered by state-of-the-art snow cannons, meaning that there is plenty of skiing to be had, whatever the weather. If you have any snowboarders in your party, then this is a fantastic choice for your next trip to Italy, as there is a fantastic board park with a half-pipe that is often open well into the evening thanks to being floodlit. There is also a boardercross course. Prato Nevoso was one of the first resorts in Italy to actively encourage snowboarders and today is known as an important destination for boarders. After skiing, there are plenty of activities to keep your group occupied, with ice skating, bowling, sledging, snowshoeing and swimming to name but a few available in the area. You can also enjoy a fantastic pizza night together or indulge in a hot chocolate after a session of bumboarding. Your students will never be bored on a ski trip here! In terms of accommodation, we offer a number of fantastic options in this resort, most of which allow for doorstep skiing, which is of huge benefit when skiing with a group.
