Halal school trips abroad

Here at Halsbury, we’ve been arranging school trips for over 30 years and, for many of those years, have been providing Islamic faith schools with school trips that allow students to enjoy educational experiences without contradicting their faith.

In many destinations we can provide your school with alcohol-free accommodation and halal meals and we can build time for prayer into your itinerary. We can even arrange for you to attend prayers at a local mosque, which is a wonderful opportunity to join the local community in worship.

Our experience in halal school travel and the fact that we will be with you every step of the way will ensure that your group enjoys a wonderful, enriching experience in your chosen destination.

Islamic culture school trips

In destinations which are Muslim-majority countries, or where Islam is recognised as the official religion, such as the United Arab Emirates, Turkey and Morocco, we can arrange for your group to visit grand mosques, as well as other buildings and attractions that will allow your students to learn more about Islam in that country and the role religion plays in the local culture.

We can arrange halal school trips to destinations all over the world, offering your students the opportunity to learn about the role of Islam in local cultures and to be inspired by seeing how Muslims around the world live their faith.

Why arrange a halal school trip?

Explore Islamic culture around the world

Your halal school trip will offer your students the incredible opportunity to explore Islamic culture in a different country.

In Morocco and the United Arab Emirates, where Islam is the official religion, your students will see how Islam plays an important role in all aspects of local life.

While in Turkey, a secular state where over 80% of the population identify as Muslim, your students will see how Islam has influenced the Turkish culture without playing a role in the official workings of the state.

In all of these destinations, your students will have the opportunity to explore magnificent mosques, where the importance of religion within the local culture will be clear. You can explore the huge, sparkling white Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, the largest mosque in the UAE. Or visit the Ottoman-era Blue Mosque in Istanbul, which is an iconic feature of the city’s skyline.

You’ll enjoy delicious meals, which will, of course, all be halal. In Istanbul, you can learn more about the distinct flavours of Turkish cuisine with a visit to the fragrant Spice Bazaar. And don’t forget to take some time to explore the many exquisite flavours of Turkish delight also sold there. While in the UAE, you can visit a camel farm, where your students will enjoy a tasting of camel milk and Arabic coffee.

Enjoy a school trip without compromising faith

There are many things to consider when taking Muslim students abroad on a school trip. Parents will want to know that their children are able to enjoy these unforgettable experiences without compromising their religion.

We’re here to help. We can arrange alcohol-free accommodation that serves halal food, as well as ensure that your itinerary ensures you don’t miss a single Salah. We can even arrange for you to join the local Muslim community for prayers at a local mosque.

We can arrange halal school trips to Paris, the Costa Brava and Morocco. Can’t see your preferred destination? Please don’t hesitate to contact us – we’ll be very pleased to look into it for you!

Enjoy the trip as much as your students

Originally founded by former teachers, and with many former teachers still among us, we understand the value of halal school trips and how to make them successful.

Your trip will be completely tailor made, to ensure that it meets your specific requirements and learning objectives. And we’ll be on hand throughout the process to answer any questions you have.

In fact, we’ll be with you every step of the way, from now until you return home at the end of your trip. While abroad, you’ll be able to reach us with just one phone call, at any time of the day or night. And, with this comprehensive level of support while you’re away, you’ll be able to relax and enjoy your trip as much as your students.
