Halsbury Ski has nearly 40 years of experience in offering fantastic value-for-money school ski trips.
We organise tailor-made trips at the world's best ski resorts for primary schools, secondary schools and colleges, as well as other groups, such as scouts and ski clubs. Choose from a huge range of destinations across Europe and North America, and take your students on an unforgettable trip where they'll learn how to ski, experience a different culture, and make new friends.
Our fully inclusive trips and consistently happy and satisfied customers are why schools return to us year-on-year. To get started, get in touch with our team - we'll guide you through every step of planning and booking a skiing trip for your school.

Our ABTA bond and ATOL licence are your reassurance that your trip is fully financially protected.
Health and safety prioritised
Halsbury Ski is an Assured Member of the School Travel Forum, so you know that your group’s health and safety are our number one priority.
Free inspection visits
Every year we arrange two inspection visits – one at Easter and one over New Year. As a ski trip party leader, you can join these trips for free* and enjoy the Halsbury experience before travelling with your students and conduct any risk assessments that are required.
Where can we ski?
We've scoured the slopes from the Rockies to the Pyrenees to find the best quality packages at affordable prices.
Creating your perfect ski trip
Been given the mammoth task of arranging your school’s ski trip? Don’t worry, we’ll help you to choose the right resort, accommodation and transport options for your group to make sure it’s completely unforgettable for all the right reasons.
Launching your trip to parents and students
To get your ski trip off the ground, you’re going to have to create a bit of a buzz around it. Our free resources will help you do just that, so that SLT, parents and the kids themselves are all on board from the get-go.
After you've booked
Once your trip’s booked, one of our expert Itinerary Coordinators will get in touch to start planning the finer details. They’ll help you to make sure that there’s plenty to keep your skiers occupied both on and off the slopes.
Support while you're away
As well as your Halsbury Ski rep, who will be there to provide any help you need in-resort, you’ll also have 24/7 emergency contact numbers included in your final pack – so you’ll be able to get the assistance you need at any time of the day or night.
After your trip
We’ll ask you to complete a feedback survey, which will help us to continue to improve the service we provide – hopefully, we’ll see you back on the slopes next year to experience this for yourself!
Frequently Asked Questions
This season, the average school ski trips cost between £730 and £950 per person. The actual price depends on several factors, including the resort, transportation, accommodation, dates, and number of ski lessons. Our school ski experts will work closely with you to tailor a package that suits your requirements and budget.
We’ve put together this handy resource on what to pack for your school ski trip, including an infographic and checklist to share with your students so that everyone remembers to pack the essentials.
Most school groups choose 9-day trips with 4 hours of ski lessons per day over 6 days. However, you can save a significant amount of money if you opt for an 8-day trip with 5 hours of ski lessons per day over 5 days. As well as one extra hour on skis, you’ll also save money on one night’s accommodation and one day’s lift pass.
Yes, all of our ski packages include the services of a Halsbury Ski rep. They’ll usually speak the local language, so they’ll be able to help you with any issues that might pop up with equipment, meals, ski passes, or evening meals, for example.
Yes, we do offer insurance and you can choose to add it when you book your trip. It’s an optional extra, so you don’t have to take it, but it’s specifically designed for school groups (so many of our groups do choose to add it). You can find out more about it on our insurance page. If you choose not to take this insurance, please make sure you have alternative, appropriate insurance in place for your group.
Absolutely – in fact, we’d encourage you to join us on one of our inspection visits before your next school ski trip. These visits are the perfect way to test-drive the Halsbury experience before you travel with your students. We usually arrange inspection visits twice a year – around Christmas and at Easter.
Join us at the Independent Schools Ski Championships, our annual school ski racing experience at Sestriere. Designed to fully immerse students in the friendly competitive atmosphere of winter sports, they’ll enjoy five days of training and racing with a prize-giving ceremony to top it all off.Find out more
