Take Part in the Mid EUROPE Festival!

Looking for a school music tour that will be completely unforgettable? Take part in the iconic Mid EUROPE Festival in Austria!

Make your next school music tour completely unforgettable by including a performance at one of Europe’s best music festivals!

The Mid EUROPE Festival takes place every July in the Austrian town of Schladming, close to Salzburg. It’s one of the most important wind band festivals in the world and they do a fantastic job of promoting young musicians too.

The festival consists of a variety of events, including indoor and open-air concerts, workshops and the Schladming TATTOO which showcases marching music.

There is even an international competition for youth brass ensembles that your band could enter!

The festival will take place from 9th to 14th July 2024, so if you are interested in taking part, we would advise getting in touch as soon as possible!

Whether or not you choose to take part, the Mid EUROPE festival is a fantastic opportunity to hear traditional Austrian and international wind band music. It’s expected to host musicians from as many as 15 different countries and so it’s a wonderful opportunity for your young musicians to learn more about different musical cultures and interact with people from all over the world who share the same passion as them.

You can attend the Mid EUROPE festival as part of your school music tour to Salzburg, which is always a great choice for school groups.

Salzburg is, of course, a city that has long been associated with music and is the hometown of one of the greatest composers in history – Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. You can choose to add visits to Mozart’s Birthplace and Residence on your school music tour to Salzburg, which are always exciting opportunities for young musicians.

The city is also famously the setting for The Sound of Music and, as well as enjoying a tour of the filming locations, you can also perform in some of them, such as the basilica in which Maria marries Captain Von Trapp, or in the spectacular gardens where Maria and the children sing Do-Re-Mi.
