Picture this. Your students ordering snacks in the bustling Boqueria in central Barcelona. Picking up some flamenco moves in Andalusia. Or learning to cook paella in Valencia.

Stop picturing it and let us help you make it reality.

We separate our Spanish language school trips into two categories: Language Culture Tours and Language Study Tours. Both offer your students the chance to be totally immersed in the Spanish language and culture, with loads of sightseeing and cultural activities to enjoy.

Language Culture Tours work really well as a first introduction to Spain, or as an unmissable opportunity for students to use their Spanish skills to explore. Language Study Tours are more popular with groups preparing for exams, because in addition to all that, they also include lessons at a specialist language school.

We're a leading provider of Spanish Language tours for UK schools, so whichever type of tour you choose, and wherever you choose to go, we’ll be right by your side throughout. And when you’re on your trip, we’ll be at the end of the phone at any time of the day or night.

Popular Destinations For Spanish trips

How to choose your tour

Spanish Language Culture Trips

Our Spanish Language Culture Trips offer an unforgettable introduction to Spain and its varied culture. They’ll love hearing the music, tasting the food and speaking to the people.

They may or may not have visited before on holiday, but your trip will see them using their Spanish language skills to access deeper cultural experiences.

This is an opportunity not only to build confidence in their abilities, but also to encourage a lifelong passion for the language. You’ll certainly see engagement improve when you get back to the classroom and that will be because your students better understand the joy of learning Spanish.

Furthermore, your students will explore another culture like they’ve never had the opportunity to before.

These are unforgettable experiences that will remain with your students and will teach them the joy of exploring the world. You’ll spark a passion for travel that will make your students better global citizens and more empathetic to people from different countries and cultures.

In short, you’ll help your students to develop their intercultural understanding and ability to forge connections with others from different cultures.

This type of tour is basically available anywhere in Spain you fancy going. Our most popular destinations include Barcelona and Madrid – both of which are packed with culture and a great variety of visits. Valencia, Granada and Seville are also great options.

Spanish Language Study Tours

Our Spanish Language Study Tours are total immersion experiences that combine cultural activities with lessons at a specialist language school. The teachers are all highly qualified native speakers and you’ll be able to discuss the lesson content with them before you travel, to make sure the trip meets your learning objectives. And when they’re not in lessons, your students will be able to enjoy a rich programme of cultural activities.

There’s simply no better way to quickly improve your students’ speaking and listening skills than being totally immersed in it. They’ll also begin to understand the benefits of being able to communicate with people in their own language.

A total immersion experience is one of the best exam preparation experiences you can offer your students. As well as being able to focus on tricky areas in their language lessons, using Spanish on an everyday basis and being able to understand and make themselves understood will give your students a huge boost of confidence, which will help them to perform at their best in their exams.

This is a trip that offers life-changing experiences for young people. For most, this will be the first time that they’ve been totally immersed in a foreign language and culture. They’ll be fully supported by you and the staff at the language school, but this will seem like an incredible adventure to them, and one that they will never forget.

In selected destinations, we also offer carefully selected host family accommodation to complete the total immersion experience (other accommodations are also available). All host families have a clean police record and are well known to the dedicated Accommodations Officer at the language school. The host families will encourage your students to practise speaking Spanish with them whenever they’re in the home, but especially during mealtimes. This is a great opportunity for students to develop their conversational Spanish skills (and confidence).

The destination choice is a little more limited for Language Study Tours – that’s just because we’re quite picky about the language schools we work with. It’s important to us that we only offer you the best options for your students. But you could do this type of trip in Salamanca, Seville, Granada, Barcelona, Malaga or Madrid.

It’s really important to say that whatever tour type you choose, your trip will be tailor made to meet your specific requirements and learning objectives.

So, if you’re not sure what’s the best option for your group, just get in touch.

FAQs

Should we go on a Spanish Culture Trip or a Spanish Language Study Tour?

That’s entirely up to you. Both types of trip are suitable for students of all ages and both will leave your students feeling inspired and more confident in their Spanish language skills.

Generally, we find that Spanish Culture trips are more popular with younger groups, while groups preparing for GCSEs or A Levels will often opt for the Language Study option. This is because this type of trip can be more focused on improving language skills ahead of exams, with lessons designed to meet your specific requirements.

Where can we go on a Spanish Culture Trip?

We can arrange trips all over Spain, from Barcelona in the north to Andalusia in the south.

For a great overview of Spanish history and culture, Madrid is hard to beat. The Spanish capital is famous for its impressive art museums, spectacular architecture and a great variety of cultural experiences.

Or perhaps you’d prefer to head to Barcelona, the vibrant Catalan capital that offers a different experience of Spain, but one that will leave your students feeling excited. This beautiful city is packed full of unique architecture, incredible food and a fantastic mix of city and beach life that inspires all who come here. And if you like the city and beach vibe, but want to try somewhere a little different, Valencia is always a great choice.

If it’s rich cultural experiences you’re looking for though, you’d be hard-pressed to beat Andalusia. The historic cities of Granada, Malaga, and Seville all offer a glimpse into Spain’s history, from the Moors to the Reconquista – you’ll still see all the Muslim influence in some of the architecture. And, of course, this is where flamenco was born, so a dance lesson or flamenco show is not to be missed.

Where can we go on a Spanish Language Study Tour?

We have excellent partner language schools all over Spain, so we’re sure we’ll have a destination to suit your group.

Salamanca is always a firm favourite among our school groups. The city is highly regarded as a university city and it’s also famous for its many excellent language schools. The reason there are so many here is that Salamanca is known for its ‘pure’ accent, which can be easier for learners to understand. And, because the competition is high, the quality of teaching is unrivalled.

Or you could head to the vibrant Catalan city of Barcelona to give your students an insight into the diversity of Spain. Of course, everyone here will speak Spanish to your students, but they’ll love finding out more about the local Catalan culture too.

Or perhaps you fancy heading to southern Spain, to Andalusia? We have some fantastic language schools in Malaga, Seville and Granada.

Once your students have finished their lessons at any of these schools, they’ll be able to explore the rich history and culture here, which includes Spain’s Moorish past. Plus, of course, this is the birthplace of flamenco, so you can’t miss the opportunity to catch a show or even enjoy a dance lesson.

Can we stay with host families?

Yes, we're really proud to say we're one of the only UK school tour operators offering host family accommodation. We only offer this type of accommodation in destinations where the language school (who organise this accommodation) are able to offer hosts who have been police checked and are able to meet our strict criteria for hosting students. You can find out more in our guide to staying with host families.
