School trips to Seville are ideal for Spanish language groups keen to improve their overall level of Spanish, while also learning more about the culture on a total immersion experience!

Seville is the largest town in southern Spain and is the city of Carmen, Don Juan and Figaro. It’s also the home of tapas and flamenco, making it the perfect destination for a Spanish school trip packed with cultural experiences.

Seville is spectacularly beautiful with a variety of architecture, from Mudéjar to Baroque. The city’s focal point, Plaza de España is simply breathtaking, as are the Alcázar and the cathedral with its iconic bell tower, La Giralda, a former minaret.

Why visit Seville?

Discover Spanish history

With the founding of the city stretching back 2,000 years, school trips to Seville offer students an insight into a fascinating part of Spain's history, something which cannot be as easily found in the likes of Barcelona or Madrid. This is because of its importance in the wake of the Islamic conquest of the Iberian Peninsula.

In Seville, you’ll find plenty of evidence of the period of Muslim rule, which lasted from the 8th century to the 15th century. In addition, your students will explore Mudejar architecture, which exemplifies how Christian Andalusia continued to be influenced by Muslim art and culture long after the Reconquista.

Your students will also discover how Seville was the gateway to transatlantic trade for the Spanish Empire, despite being 50 miles from the Atlantic Ocean.

Get your students talking!

If you want your students to use their time on your school trip to Seville to improve their overall level of Spanish or prepare for GCSE or A-Level exams, then a Language Study Tour could be the perfect choice.

Your students will enjoy lessons at a specialist language school, as well as a programme of cultural activities. They’ll be taught by fully qualified native Spanish speakers in closed groups, with the content tailored to your specific requirements and learning objectives.

To complete the total immersion experience, you can choose for your students to stay with carefully selected host families. The experienced, friendly hosts will encourage your students to practise their Spanish with them, which not only gives students an incredible confidence boost but also offers a unique insight into Spanish culture and family life. Of course, other accommodation options are also available in Seville, if preferred.

Flamenco!

Seville is considered one of the birthplaces of flamenco and the city certainly played a key role in the popularisation of both flamenco music and dance in wider Spanish culture.

On your school trip to Seville, we can arrange for your group to enjoy a traditional flamenco show. Your students will experience a variety of traditional flamenco dances and songs and will love the exotic costumes.

And if your students are really keen to learn more about this iconic part of Andalusian culture, you could include a visit to the Museo del Baile where, not only will you learn more about the history of flamenco, you can even enjoy a flamenco workshop!
