Disneyland® Paris is the most-visited theme park in Europe and one of our most popular school trip destinations in France. It opened in 1992 and is best known for the Sleeping Beauty Castle, which is present in various forms in other Disney theme parks but had to be specially designed for a country where you can visit real châteaux.
Our Disneyland Paris school trips are a great option for many groups. Popular as an end-of-term treat to reward good behaviour and as a cultural trip, Disneyland® Paris offers lots of educational potential.
And with the magic of Disney just a few hours away, this is a school trip that will leave your students with some unforgettable memories. You can choose to make this a day trip or combine it with a visit to the chic French capital, Paris, for a longer trip.
The park itself is divided into five ‘lands’, all based on a particular theme. Mainstreet USA represents early 20th-century small-town America and features Victorian architecture inspired by Walt Disney’s hometown of Marceline, Missouri. This is the main entrance boulevard of the park and guides visitors from the entrance of the Sleeping Beauty Castle at the centre of the park.
The Sleeping Beauty Castle is the gateway to Fantasyland, where fairy tales and stories come to life. Frontierland is based on the 19th-century American Wild West and Adventureland is themed on exotic, faraway lands like the Caribbean, Africa and India. And Discoveryland is inspired by famous European thinkers, like Leonardo Da Vinci and Jules Verne.
A school trip to Disneyland Paris is ideal for media studies groups who will have the opportunity to learn more about how Disney magic is brought to life through special effects and animation. Performing arts groups can even perform on the famous Videopolis stage.
A business studies-focused trip also offers some incredible opportunities for students to learn more about the marketing machine that is Disney. They’ll discover how the brand was developed and they’ll learn more about the company’s corporate structure – all within a specialist business studies seminar.
