Ski trip to Prali

Enjoy guaranteed snow, high-altitude skiing and crowd-free slopes on your school ski trip to Prali! This lovely resort is located on the border between Italy and France, just 14 hours by coach from Calais. During the 2006 Turin Winter Olympics, Prali was one of the official training resorts for the alpine and cross-country skiers. One of the smaller resorts we offer, this is a lovely base for school ski groups as it feels very safe, welcoming and authentically Italian.

Located at 1500m, with skiing up to 2550m, Prali offers fantastic skiing with a great variety for all abilities. Completely north-west facing, excellent conditions are guaranteed for the whole season. Prali has a long skiing season, making it a great choice for the beginning or end of the season. Lifts normally open around mid-November and stay open until the end of May. They’ve even been known to stay open until the first weekend in June!

Hotel Valentino

Situated in the village of Perosa-Argentina in Italy, the Hotel Valentino is a family-run 3 star hotel offering single occupancy for school groups. This hotel is ideally located near the centre of the village, with stunning views down the valley, and is just 30 minutes from the main chairlift in Prali - offering easy access to high-altitude skiing.The hotel offers simple rooms equipped with private bathroom, balcony, satellite TV, internet access, Wi-Fi and telephone. Reception is available until 10:30.On the first floor is a terrace solarium with sun beds for your relaxation.Start your day with a healthy breakfast including hot croissants and great coffee. Hot lunches are taken on slopes at a mountain restaurant, so you get that real alpine experience.In the evenings, in addition to the tourist menu you can taste the very best of traditional Piedmontese cuisine. In the evenings you can take the coach and go ice skating, bowling or even to a pizzeria. Just behind the hotel there is also a public swimming pool.

Your quote will be put together by an experienced Tour Adviser who’ll be an expert in skiing trips and knows our resorts really well. They’ll work with you to create a trip to suit your group’s needs and budget.

Launching your trip to parents and students

The next step is to get your trip approved and get students signed up to it. Our ‘Trip Launch Pack’ will help you with this step. This is full of resources (all free to download) designed to make your life easier at this crucial point in the trip planning process.

After you’ve booked

Once you’ve booked, your dedicated Itinerary Coordinator will start work on the finer details. They’ll make sure your ski lessons, ski hire and après-ski activities are all sorted and they’ll take on most of the other admin tasks for your trip (so you can look forward to the trip as much as the kids).

Support while you’re away

While you’re abroad, you’ll be looked after by a Halsbury rep based in your resort. And Halsbury HQ staff will be on the end of the phone 24 hours a day. You’ll get a final info pack before you go with all the info you need, plus access to all your trip documents on the Vamoos app.

After your trip

When you return from your trip, we’ll ask you to complete a detailed feedback survey, so we can continue our service. This is also the perfect time to start planning your next trip, so you can give parents plenty of time to pay for it (and make it easier for you).
