A performing arts school trip to New York is a must for any student of the subject!
The world’s foremost centre of theatre is home to 40 professional venues located on and off the famous Broadway, and the road’s name has now become synonymous with the quality of the theatre staged here. Not only will your performing arts school trip provide your students with the opportunity to enjoy a Broadway performance first-hand, they can also take part in dance, acting or singing workshops.
New York is also a major filming location, so make sure you take the opportunity to see some of the filming locations of your favourite TV shows and movies, as well as getting the inside knowledge from local guides. This tour is certain to be a wonderful experience your students will never forget. And, of course, you can also choose to make this trip cross-curricular, thanks to New York offering such wonderful opportunities for many subjects, including art, media studies and fashion.
Suggested Itinerary (5 days, 3 nights)
Take Part in a Broadway Workshop
Choose from a selection of Broadway-related workshops focusing on the audition process, singing, choreography and stage combat, and backstage processes including make-up and costume design.
With 41 professional theatres, Broadway is the centre of New York City’s theatre district and the best place in the country to see the latest and most iconic shows.
Together with London’s West End, Broadway is seen to represent the highest level of theatre in the English-speaking world, which is why a workshop run by Broadway professionals is a must-do on a performing arts school trip to New York.
