School Watersports Tour to the Lake District

The Lake District is a spectacular setting for any trip and, with its 21 large bodies of water, it’s ideal for a school watersports tour!

As well as enjoying a number of water-based activities such as canoeing, kayaking and sailing, you’ll also be able to try ghyll scrambling and archery! You’ll even enjoy some great team building activities such as high ropes and raft building.

On your school watersports tour to the Lake District, you’ll stay onsite, right by the water, in purpose-built group accommodation. YMCA Lakeside sits within 400 acres of private woodland on the shores of Lake Windermere and is one of the largest outdoor activity centres in Europe.

There is plenty of excellent accommodation here for school groups. The new Stoller Campus boasts 250 beds, and there are another 200 beds across the other accommodations here.

As well as accommodation, the YMCA Lakeside also offers nearly 50 land and water-based activities, including kayaking, fell walking, archery and caving.
