Day 1

Morning

Meet at school, board your private coach and begin your journey to the heart of London, ready for an exciting few days exploring the capital. 

Afternoon

Step inside the Science Museum and discover a world of innovation, invention and discovery. Explore fascinating galleries covering everything from space exploration and aviation to medicine, engineering and the technologies that have transformed the way we live. 

Evening

Head to your accommodation, check in and settle into your rooms. 

Enjoy your evening meal together before relaxing ahead of another action-packed day in London. 

Day 2

Morning

Breakfast at your accommodation. 

Head to Lee Valley White Water Centre and start with a safety briefing before collecting your equipment (please note that large groups may need to be split up and rotate between activities). 

Take part in an exciting kayaking session, learning paddling techniques and teamwork skills while navigating the water under the guidance of experienced instructors. 

Afternoon

Try stand-up paddleboarding, testing balance and coordination while gliding across the water in this fun and engaging activity. 

Take on the Water Wipeout course - an inflatable obstacle challenge where students race, climb, slide and splash their way across the water. 

Evening

Head back to your accommodation for dinner. 

Optional upgrade to enjoy a West End show this evening. 

Day 3

Morning

Enjoy breakfast at your accommodation before checking out and heading back into the heart of London. 

Visit the Natural History Museum, coming face-to-face with incredible specimens from the natural world. Explore dinosaurs, evolution and biodiversity, before discovering the powerful forces that have shaped our planet, from earthquakes and volcanoes to the changing earth beneath our feet. 

Afternoon

Enjoy some free time to explore London, taking in the sights, shops and unmistakable atmosphere of the capital before your trip draws to a close. 

Rejoin your private coach and begin the journey home. 

Evening

Arrive back at school after a memorable London adventure filled with science, discovery and some of the capital's most fascinating attractions.

A&O London Docklands offers group-friendly accommodation in the heart of East London, with easy access to Canary Wharf, the River Thames and excellent transport links into the city centre. Students will typically stay in dormitory-style rooms, with teachers in twin rooms, all of which have private bathroom facilities. WiFi is available throughout.

Water Wipeout is a huge inflatable obstacle course that is erected on the lake at Lee Valley.

Lee Valley White Water Centre

Lee Valley White Water Centre was built to host the canoe slalom events at the London 2012 Olympic Games and remains one of the country's premier white water centres.

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

Stand-up paddleboarding originated in Hawaii and involves standing on a board and using a paddle to propel yourself.

Kayaking at Lee Valley

Kayaking was invented by the Inuit thousands of years ago and is similar to canoeing except in the sitting position

Your quote will be put together by an experienced Tour Adviser who’ll be an expert in school sports tours and will know the destination really well too. They’ll work with you to create a tour to suit your group’s needs and meet your tour objectives.

Launching your tour to parents and students

The next step is to get your tour approved and then get students signed up to it. Our ‘Trip Launch Pack’ will help you with this step. Here you’ll find loads of resources (all free to download) designed to make your life easier at this crucial point in the planning process.

After
you’ve booked

Once you’ve booked, your dedicated Itinerary Coordinator will start working on the finer details. They’ll make sure your itinerary makes the most of your time and they’ll take on most of the admin tasks for your tour (making the whole process a lot less stressful for you).

Support while
you’re away

While you’re out on tour, we’ll be at the end of the phone 24 hours a day to provide support should you need it. We’ll also send you a final info pack before you go and you’ll be able to access all your tour documents via the free Vamoos app.

After
your trip

When you return from your sports tour, we’ll ask you to complete a detailed feedback survey, which helps us continue to improve the service we offer. And we can start planning your next tour too, so you can give parents plenty of time to pay for it (and so it’s less stressful for you).
