Ski trip to Wengen and Grindelwald

Halsbury Sticker

Are you searching for high-altitude and diverse skiing suitable for all levels? Then a school ski trip to Switzerland will be hard to beat. Set against the impressive backdrop of the Eiger and Jungfrau mountains are the world-famous resorts of Wengen, Grindelwald and Mürren. This resort is a favourite on the World Cup circuit – the Lauberhorn Race is held in Wengen every year and is the longest and fastest of its kind. And the towns are lovely – charming Wengen was one of the first Swiss resorts to welcome British skiers, and cosmopolitan Grindelwald offers some really exciting après-ski options, including the longest toboggan run in the Alps! Many of our hotels are in Interlaken, which is the perfect base for exploring the entire area.

Ski Information Graphic

Skiing in Wengen and Grindelwald

With 217km of skiable terrain, there is skiing here to suit all levels and, although the majority is best suited to beginners and intermediates honing their skills, there’s actually plenty to entertain everyone – from complete novices to experts. Jungfrau is a great option for mixed-ability groups, which is often the case with school ski groups. You won’t need to worry about the snow conditions – the resort’s high altitude means that snow is practically guaranteed. So you can spend your time exploring this exciting area – it’s all really well connected by the efficient infrastructure, which includes a mountain train, gondolas and cable-cars.

Supporting you
every step of the way

Creating your perfect ski trip

Your quote will be put together by an experienced Tour Adviser who’ll be an expert in skiing trips and knows our resorts really well. They’ll work with you to create a trip to suit your group’s needs and budget.

Launching your trip to parents and students

The next step is to get your trip approved and get students signed up to it. Our ‘Trip Launch Pack’ will help you with this step. This is full of resources (all free to download) designed to make your life easier at this crucial point in the trip planning process.

After you’ve booked

Once you’ve booked, your dedicated Itinerary Coordinator will start work on the finer details. They’ll make sure your ski lessons, ski hire and après-ski activities are all sorted and they’ll take on most of the other admin tasks for your trip (so you can look forward to the trip as much as the kids).

Support while you’re away

While you’re abroad, you’ll be looked after by a Halsbury rep based in your resort. And Halsbury HQ staff will be on the end of the phone 24 hours a day. You’ll get a final info pack before you go with all the info you need, plus access to all your trip documents on the Vamoos app.

After
your trip

When you return from your trip, we’ll ask you to complete a detailed feedback survey, so we can continue our service. This is also the perfect time to start planning your next trip, so you can give parents plenty of time to pay for it (and make it easier for you).
