Resort Information
A school ski trip to Madesimo offers your group the convenience of doorstep skiing, alongside the reassurance that comes with visiting a high-altitude, snow-sure resort. Lying to the north of Lake Como and close to the border with Switzerland, Madesimo is a typically Italian village and as such offers the warm, welcoming atmosphere that school groups love. Despite its relatively small size, Madesimo offers a great variety of skiing, made even better by the uncrowded slopes and one of the most modern lift systems in Europe – so you won’t waste your day queuing!
Skiing Information
This high-altitude resort remains snow-sure from late November to spring and, just in case Mother Nature is a little difficult, the resort also has excellent snow-making equipment covering the main pistes. Beginners will love taking to the pistes for the first time here, where the lack of crowds means they can take it at their own pace. And intermediates will love the sheer variety of runs waiting for them here. There’s also some great skiing for the more advanced skiers, including the mighty Canalone – a nearly 3km black that’s reputed to be one of the most beautiful in Italy, if not Europe as a whole. Plus, with the great terrain park and powder fields, snowboarders will be happy too.
