Skiing in Val Cenis

Val Cenis offers over 125 km of piste with an excellent mix of terrain suitable for skiers of all levels. Its wide, gentle blues and dedicated beginner areas are perfect for novice skiers, and the group will enjoy progressing over a variety of long, well-groomed blue runs and bowls, as well as plenty of challenging reds and blacks for the more advanced skiers. Val Cenis is also home to the longest green ski run in Europe - L'Escargot (The Snail), a gentle, scenic 10km trail perfect for beginners to enjoy a long, leisurely descent through forests. Many slopes are north-facing, which means good early and late-season skiing. With a relaxed atmosphere, schools will appreciate the fact that Val Cenis never feels overcrowded, providing a safe and welcoming environment for young skiers. The resort’s well-organised nursery areas ensure that even the youngest skiers feel comfortable and safe, with professional instructors and dedicated ski schools. The ski area is compact and easy to navigate, meaning students can spend more time on the slopes and less time getting to them.

VVF Val Cenis

VVF Villages Rive Gauche offers a convenient base for school ski groups in Val Cenis, with slope-side accommodation close to the Val Cenis Le Haut gondola and local shuttle services. Apartments sleep up to seven people and include private shower or bathroom facilities, with free WiFi and a TV. Groups can enjoy full-board meals in the restaurant, while communal areas include a TV room, games and entertainment spaces, table tennis and a bar. Guests can also benefit from access to the nearby municipal swimming pool and ice rink, making it a practical choice for après-ski activities.

After you’ve booked

Once you’ve booked, your dedicated Itinerary Coordinator will start work on the finer details. They’ll make sure your ski lessons, gear hire and après-ski activities are all sorted and they’ll take on most of the other admin tasks (so you can look forward to the trip as much as the kids).

Support while you’re away

While you’re away, you’ll be looked after by a Halsbury rep based in your resort. Plus, our HQ staff will be on available by phone, 24 hours a day. You’ll get a final info pack before you go with all the info you need, plus access to all your trip documents on the Vamoos app.

After your trip

When you return, we’ll ask you to complete a detailed feedback survey, so we can continue our service. This is also the perfect time to start planning your next trip, so you can give parents plenty of time to pay for it (and make it easier for you).
