Consisting of several purpose-built villages, as well as a few pre-existing villages that have been adapted to accommodate skiers, La Plagne is an extensive resort. In fact, it holds the world record for the number of linked ski lifts, with a staggering 108! Each village is unique, so you can choose the perfect base for your school ski trip to France. So whether your priority is budget, convenience or atmosphere, we’ll have an option to suit you. The villages are all self-contained, each offering a range of restaurants and après-ski activities.
Any beginners in your group will be positively spoilt for choice, thanks to the numerous beginner slopes. The majority of the ski area sits on what is actually a gently sloping plateau, making this a great choice for first-timers. That being said, La Plagne is also an intermediate skier’s paradise, as the slopes for this level of ability are superb. And for more advanced skiers, there are some challenging black runs to try. There's also a great snowpark, boardercross and half-pipe, to keep your snowboarders happy. With a top piste altitude of 3250m, this resort is high enough to ensure good snow coverage. La Plagne is also linked to Les Arcs via the ‘Paradiski’ cable car, making it one of the largest ski areas in France and, in fact, the world, with a whopping 425km of skiing!
