English Literature Trip to London
Bring the script to life with an English literature trip to London's West End!
London’s theatres enjoy a great heritage and world-renowned reputation. They host a wide variety of performances throughout the year. On arrival in London, we can organise a choice of backstage tours, either to the National Theatre, Shakespeare’s Globe or Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
An evening meal can be arranged at the Hard Rock Café or Planet Hollywood, followed by an evening theatre performance. And, on the way back to school on the second day, make sure you visit the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter.
Small group? Why not join forces with the performing arts department to make this trip cross-curricular?

Sachsenhausen is a must for a Berlin visit, as well as the traditional sites – TV Tower, Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate, Jewish Memorial, etc. For a leisurely afternoon the Berlin Zoo is also worth considering and we also tried out the lesser known Otto Weidz Museum which our students thoroughly enjoyed. Take full advantage of the U/S Bahn during the visit, particularly if travelling with KS4 students – we packed so much into the visit as a direct result. I’ll definitely be back for more as 4 days doesn’t even scratch the surface with so many fascinating sites easily accessible.— Horbury Academy
