A history school trip to Berlin and Krakow will help to deepen your students’ understanding of the rise of the Nazis, before discovering the devastating scale of the Holocaust at Auschwitz.
Combining Berlin and Krakow will allow your students to fully comprehend how far-reaching the devastation caused by the Nazis really was. In Berlin, your students will learn more about the context in which the Nazi Party and Hitler came to power, and how their hateful rhetoric was spread.
In Krakow, you will, of course, visit Auschwitz. This will be a harrowing visit for your students, as the realities of the Holocaust dawn on them. Piles of the victims’ belongings will remind them that these were real people murdered purely because hate and prejudice was allowed to win.
