On a history school trip to Normandy, your group will explore the largest and most ambitious amphibious military operations ever staged – the Normandy landings of June 1944!

No war has affected so many people over such as wide area as the Second World War. We can arrange visits to the sites of the British and American beach landings along the coast, as well as museum visits that will provide the background to these.

We also offer purpose-built school group accommodation in Normandy, which is close to Juno Beach and just a short drive from all the important sights in the area. Self-contained and in the centre of a quiet village, this is the ideal base for your group on your history school trip to Normandy!

Need help?

I love being able to provide school trips that give students the opportunity to experience different cultures and languages. When I was a student, I visited a town near Lyon for a French exchange trip. I found it really interesting living with a French family, I really enjoyed the trip and my language skills improved, as I quickly became more confident at speaking the language – Caroline Hill Tour Consultant

Don't take our word for it …

Cologne is a fantastic destination for a school trip. This was our first Christmas Market trip in a number of years and it was a great success. The support from staff at Halsbury Travel was second to none - they take the hassle out of the trip. — Grove School , December 2018
