What was your main objective for this tour?
This was our first watersports trip as a school for a few years that I was responsible for organising. The primary aim was to take students out of their comfort zone and try new activities. For some, it was their first trip abroad, the first time trying watersports, and the first time being away from home, so resilience and enjoyment were paramount, as well as working as a team.
Why did you choose this destination?
We chose this destination for the location, what Halsbury were able to offer us there and the fact we were staying in a hotel (and not any sort of yurt or camping).
What activities did your group enjoy on the tour?
We had a go at paddle boarding, sailing, kayaking, beach volleyball, windsurfing, SUP and tackling the waterpark. They were all amazing, well-organised activities.
Why did you choose these activities?
They offered something different and something new. They were all things that the students would enjoy and love, and it might be the only chance they ever have to do them.
What will be your lasting memories of this tour?
My lasting memories of this tour will be the fact that the students embraced everything. It really was an unforgettable trip - the hotel, the food, the pool, the entertainment, the efficiency of transport, the waterpark, and so much more.
Why did you choose Halsbury for this tour?
I've used them before for a ski trip. The communication from start to end (and throughout) was exceptional. I'm already planning our 2027 trip.
How would you describe the experience of working with Halsbury on this tour?
Working with Halsbury on this tour was nothing short of perfection. I cannot fault it from start to end.
It was probably the best watersports trip we could have had.
The Vamoos app is brilliant and ensured I had all the correct documentation, despite also being sent this by Asha at Halsbury, which I printed out before departure. The coach pick-ups to and from the airport, in addition to all the trips and excursions, were always on time, and the hotel was second to none with plenty of choice for food, all rooms being clean, air conditioned and WiFi friendly. The pool was perfect, and the students enjoyed downtime there as well as joining in the nighttime entertainment.
Would you recommend Halsbury to your friends and colleagues?
Yes, I would recommend Halsbury, and I have done. I also sent the team at Halsbury an email as soon as we got back to say how great it was.
