What was your main objective for this trip?

The main aim of the trip was to provide students with the opportunity to develop their skiing ability in a supportive and structured environment, while also promoting independence, resilience and teamwork.

We also wanted to expose students to a different culture and create a memorable shared experience outside of the classroom.

Why did you choose this destination?

Mont Tremblant was chosen for its excellent ski conditions, well-maintained slopes and suitability for a wide range of abilities. The resort is renowned for its high-quality instruction and safe, well-organised environment, making it an ideal destination for school groups. Its picturesque setting and village atmosphere also added to the overall experience. Due to the timing of the trip, it was imperative that we had a resort with guaranteed snow, and it did not disappoint.

Can you briefly describe how your group progressed in terms of their skiing during this trip?

The progression of the group was excellent, the best I have witnessed as a ski trip leader. Beginners quickly built confidence, moving from basic control on nursery slopes to tackling more challenging runs by the end of the trip. Intermediate and advanced skiers refined their technique, improving their control, speed and ability to handle varied terrain. Overall, all students showed outstanding improvement and increased confidence on the slopes.

Did your group take part in any après-ski activities?

Yes, the group took part in a range of après-ski activities and evening social activities, including a visit to a Sugar Shack, where they had a traditional 3-course meal, a trip to a local outlet shopping mall and an excursion into Montreal. These provided a great opportunity for students to relax after skiing, bond asa group and enjoy different aspects of the resort and culture.

What will be your lasting memories of this trip?

The standout memories will be the students' progress and enthusiasm, the stunning scenery of Mont Tremblant, and the strong sense of camaraderie that developed within the group. Seeing students challenge themselves, support one another, and celebrate their achievements was particularly rewarding. Finally, the standard of ski instruction was the best I have witnessed.

Why did you choose Halsbury for this trip?

We chose Halsbury due to their strong reputation for organising school ski trips, their attention to detail, and the level of support they provide through the planning process. Their experience and expertise gave us confidence that the trip would run smoothly.

How would you describe the experience of working with Halsbury on this trip?

The experience was excellent from start to finish. Communication was clear and consistent, and the team was always available to answer questions and provide guidance. The organisation of the trip was seamless, allowing staff to focus on the students and the experience itself.

Would you recommend Halsbury to your friends and colleagues?

Yes, I would highly recommend Halsbury. Their professionalism, organisation and support made the trip a great success - so much so, we are already booked up for next year!
