Breadalbane Academy's Ski Trip to Sestriere

Our main aim for the trip was to provide our pupils with an opportunity to experience a new country and culture, as well as develop their ability to ski. We also want our pupils to develop their confidence and ability to interact with pupils from across the school.

We chose Sestriere as it's a high-altitude resort guaranteeing good snow conditions.

We also wanted to provide our pupils with a trip which was accessible financially, which Sestriere turned out to be. 

The resort also ensured all pupils, no matter their level of ability, were able to experience appropriate terrain and challenge across the week. 

All our pupils made excellent progress over the course of the week. The instructors were excellent, and our pupils really enjoyed their time with the instructors, which really benefited their development. 

We took part in three evenings of après-ski activities, which included a night of bowling in France, a cinema night and a visit to a local pizzeria. Our pupils loved the bowling and pizza nights, in particular. 

The restaurant really looked after our group and made sure everyone had an enjoyable meal, no matter their dietary requirements. 

The trip will be remembered for the excellent progress our pupils made and the relationships developed over the course of the week. 

Halsbury were able to offer us the best value for money experience when we were researching the possibility of our ski trip. 

The experience of working with Halsbury was positive. Our rep was excellent and supported us throughout the trip. She was able to sort any issue that arose during the trip.
