If you’ve seen our Language Study Trips and thought they looked great...but not for your group, here’s why you’re wrong.
Yes, in general, Language Study Tours are arranged on the basis that your students will spend either mornings or afternoons at one of our partner language schools.
And yes, they are most popular with older groups preparing for their GCSE and A-Levels.
But that doesn’t always have to be the case.
Could you just do a couple of mornings or afternoons of lessons? Absolutely. This is definitely a possibility in all of our schools in Germany, as well as our schools in Paris, Lille, Barcelona, Alicante, Granada and Madrid.
Do your students need to be preparing for exams? Definitely not. Your students will actually be in closed groups anyway, so you’ll be able to discuss the content, level and learning objectives with the teachers from the language school in advance.
And, actually, including some language lessons can help boost the educational value of your trip if you’re struggling to get sign-off from SLT.
If you really wanted, you could open your trip up to more than one year group, with the older students using their lessons to focus on improving their language skills, and the younger ones getting more of an introduction to the language and culture (we could even arrange a reduced number of lessons for them, with more cultural activities).
So, we hope we’ve shown how our Language Study Trips can be a lot more flexible than they first seem.
You can also include language lessons on a cross-curricular trip – we have several schools that do this every year. This would likely mean that you would need slightly different itineraries for those focusing on the language and those focusing on the other subject, and this can make your trip a little more complicated (but certainly not unachievable).
As always, we’re here to help you create the perfect school trip for your group. So, please make use of us.
If you have any questions or just want to chat about the options available, please get in touch – we'll be really pleased to help.
