Resort Information
On a school ski trip to Piancavallo, you’ll love the typically ‘Italian’ feel of the resort - even though it’s both modern and purpose-built. Despite its reputation as a destination for serious skiers, this is a small, safe resort which you’ll feel comfortable bringing a group of school children to. The centre of the village is mostly pedestrianised with a large, covered shopping area and a new sports hall offering a lively après-ski programme. There’s also an ice rink stadium and alpine coaster too. From Piancavallo, it’s also popular to take in a little culture on a day trip to Venice.

Skiing Information
Located in its own sunny, sheltered bowl, Piancavallo has built a well-earned reputation for serious skiing and has hosted a number of women’s alpine skiing World Cup events. The pistes fan out from the village centre and provide a good mix of long, easy runs and more challenging intermediate skiing – all of which interconnects well. Piancavallo boasts an excellent ski school, which is so important for a school ski trip. The ski school is well served by a number of small drag lifts in the village and offers good progression up to the more difficult slopes. The result is that everybody, from the first-timer to the expert, can ski back to the resort.
Skiing for the students was excellent. The fact that there is a green run from quite high up the mountain was great as the beginners group felt that they could access the mountain. Boi Taull is very safe and contained with activities for the students each evening.– Sir Bernard Lovell Academy
