A religious studies school trip to Krakow will give your students the opportunity to learn more about the Jewish community in Poland before and during the Nazi occupation!

Your students will learn of the atrocities committed against the city’s Jewish population during the early 20th century and how a once thriving community was almost completely destroyed when hate was allowed to take over.

On your religious studies school trip to Krakow, you’ll be able to take your students to Auschwitz. Although this will be a difficult visit for them, it will help them to understand just how dangerous intolerance and prejudice can be. And, of course, this destination offers the perfect opportunity for a cross-curricular school trip in conjunction with the history department, to give more students the opportunity to learn more about the realities of the Holocaust.

I would definitely recommend Rouen. It is not the most beautiful city in France, but it is rich in history (Joan of Arc, Monet…) and the old town is very nice and pleasant to walk around. It is quite good for shopping and it is not too far from England so practical to go by coach. I was also very impressed by the language school who were really nice, on board and very well organised. — King Alfred's Academy, November 2018
