A school rugby tour to Lisbon will allow your team to discover the sport in a developing rugby nation. Rugby in Portugal began on the outskirts of Lisbon and the city remains a stronghold for the sport.
Rugby is growing steadily in Portugal, thanks in no small part to the success of the national team. In 2007 they even made it into the World Cup – the first all-amateur team to do so since the advent of professionalism.
You’ll find plenty of good opposition here, thanks to the strong youth rugby and rugby 7s infrastructure. There are also excellent sporting facilities and a great range of optional activities to really make this a well-rounded school rugby tour.
