The tour was a roaring success. Rome provided the perfect touring destination as it had the right amounts of rugby, culture and, of course, fantastic hospitality. Halsbury have provided outstanding service now both times we have toured. The standard of the hotel is excellent and with the superb transport arranged on tour, students got a taste of how top players are treated. From a trip organiser point of view Halsbury looked after all the details small and large to ensure a smooth tour. The boys have lifelong memories, playing in a setting which was stunning and post-game hospitality surpassed even my own high expectations. Thank you Halsbury.– Gildredge House School

Stayokay Rotterdam
Rotterdam: the city with various perspectives. This city does not do ‘tidy’ and is perfectly imperfect. Buildings and their surroundings completely flow into each other. Every street in this city is different, with various shapes, sizes and corners. Our hostel is a perfect example of this. On the one hand, it is hidden among architect Piet Blom’s cubical works of art but, on the other hand, the hostel shines with its unique curves. Stayokay Rotterdam is located in the heart of the city and in the striking Cube Houses. The great thing about this hostel is that you feel like a guest in your own home. It creates an oasis of tranquillity, and you go wherever you please. Even though staying in would be fun too, you know that you have no time to lose to go out and about. In the middle of the hostel, you are surrounded by large windows that are luring you outside – into the city! You can see the business world on your left, with long roads and people with ambitions. On your right, you can see the harbour with old boats, colourful cafés and old buildings that show how different Rotterdam would have been if there hadn’t been any wars. But when you look ahead, you will see strong innovation: architecture, art and the diverse, striking shapes. All rooms are en-suite, there is free WiFi throughout, good meals in a large dining area, with board games. Groups are accommodated in four, five, six bedded rooms and group leaders are normally accommodated in twin or triple rooms. The Maritime museum and main shopping areas are within an easy 10 minute walk.
