Your residential school trip to Lee Valley offers your students the opportunity to have a go at a variety of watersports at an Olympic facility!

The Lee Valley White Water Centre was built to host the canoe slalom events at the London 2012 Olympic Games. Here, your students will have the exciting opportunity to have a go at kayaking and stand up paddle boarding. They’ll also get the chance to take on the Water Wipeout course – an inflatable obstacle course on the lake. And they’ll be able to improve their teamworking skills with a raftbuilding exercise too!

Next to the Lee Valley White Water Centre is the Herts Young Mariners Base – an outdoor activity centre. On your Activities Week school trip to Lee Valley you can choose from a number of activities offered here, such as climbing, canoeing, kayaking, caving, archery, fencing, stand up paddle boarding and sailing.

Split over six wooden lodge-style buildings YHA London Lee Valley is approximately 20-minutes by train from central London. Nearby, guest have plenty of access to green spaces and local watersports, as well as of course good transportation links to the capital's attractions. Guests can stay in shared dormitories, private rooms or book an individual lodge building. Free Wi-Fi available in shared social spaces.
