A school art trip to Liverpool will give your students the chance to explore the huge amount of art and culture available in this vibrant city.
Did you know that Liverpool has more museums and galleries than any other UK city, other than London? There are so many, in fact, that you’ll be spoilt for choice in terms of which to include in your itinerary. It’s no surprise that it was named European Capital of Culture in 2008.
The Tate Liverpool is unmissable and was the largest exhibition space in the UK dedicated to modern art, until the Tate Modern opened. And the Walker Art Gallery houses one of the largest art collections outside of London. Its also home to one of the world’s most impressive permanent collections of pre-Raphaelite art.
