A geography school trip to the Swiss Alps will allow your students to explore a glacier, learn more about river processes and see some of the most famous peaks in the Alps, including the Matterhorn!
The Swiss Alps, although making up just 14% of the total area of the mountain range, is home to 48 of the 82 ‘four-thousanders’ (peaks above 4,000m).
This, plus the fact that Switzerland is the most alpine country in Europe (65% of its territory is in the Alps) makes it an incredible destination for young geographers.
