What is a German culture trip?

These trips will provide your students with an exciting introduction to this magnificent country and its rich culture. Your students will enjoy a number of cultural activities, as well as plenty of sightseeing, all while having the opportunity to practise their German skills with native speakers.

We’ll work closely with you to tailor make your itinerary to ensure that your trip suits your group and your specific learning objectives, and leaves them inspired, with a greater passion for German and languages in general.

With a range of destinations available, including cosmopolitan cities such as Berlin and Munich, as well as quieter locations such as the stunning Black Forest and Rhine, we’ll help you find the right destination.

Berlin is, of course, one of our most popular destinations. As the capital, there’s arguably no better place in which to soak up the atmosphere and get a taste of what Germany is all about.

This is a city that manages to preserve its long, fascinating history, while also having an almost unrivalled modern outlook. It’s one of the most creative cities in Europe and your young students will love the buzz here.

If you’d like to visit a historic city but fancy going somewhere a bit different, why not try Munich or Cologne? In Munich, your students will love soaking up the unique culture of Bavaria. Alternatively, Cologne offers the opportunity to explore over 2,000 years of history and is great for chocoholics too!

Looking for a quieter destination where your students can explore a more ‘traditional’ Germany? The Black Forest is a fantastic choice – your students will love the traditional crafts here, as well as the spectacular landscape. They’ll also be able to find out about life here over the centuries, all while practising their German.

Or why not head to the spectacular Rhine? A huge favourite with our school groups, this area really is the heart of ‘fairy tale’ Germany and is famous for the magnificent Rhine and Moselle rivers, the imposing clifftop castles and the charming riverside towns.

Why arrange a German culture trip?

Introduce them to all things German

Our culture trips are the ideal introduction to Germany for your students. We all know that the best way to learn German is to go to Germany and practise speaking the language with native speakers – these trips offer your students the opportunity to do this while exploring the culture, which is an experience that they’ll never forget.

We travel to a variety of destinations, all with very different qualities but, wherever you choose to go, your students will enjoy an unforgettable experience.

They’ll return to school with more enthusiasm for the German language, and languages in general, as well as greater confidence in their skills. You’ll notice a huge improvement in engagement, as they will understand just how exciting it is to learn German!

Develop their intercultural understanding

As well as the academic and linguistic benefits, your trip will also help to develop your students’ intercultural understanding.

By immersing them in another culture, you’ll be showing your students how important it is to be open to new cultural experiences. They’ll understand the need to respect other cultures and how that can help to develop connections with people from all around the world.

Your trip will put your students on the path to becoming better global citizens who know how to respect other people and their cultures and to be excited by other cultures. You’ll broaden their horizons and could spark a real passion for travel, exploration, culture and foreign languages!

Enjoy the trip as much as your students

Originally founded by former teachers, we understand the value of school trips and how to make them successful.

Your trip will be completely tailor-made, to ensure that it meets your specific requirements and learning objectives. And we’ll be on hand throughout the process to answer any questions you have.

In fact, we’ll be with you every step of the way, from now until you return home at the end of your trip. While abroad, you’ll be able to reach us with just one phone call, at any time of the day or night. And, with this comprehensive level of support, you’ll be able to relax and enjoy immersing yourself in German as much as your students.
