Designing Your School Sports Tour

Your sports tour is all about you and your team. We’ll work closely with you to ensure that you enjoy the best sporting experience possible. This involves selecting the right tour, transport, accommodation and activities.

We hope this guide gives you a better idea of the options available to you.

Great range of tour types

Whether you want your team to engage in some preseason training, take part in an international tournament or pit their skills against local opposition, we’ll be able to tailor-make a school sports tour to suit you!

Pro-Ex tours

Make your trip even more memorable by choosing to take part in professional training sessions at your favourite club! Our Pro-Ex tours give your team the taste of the life of a professional, learning new skills under the club’s own youth coaches, enjoying stadium tours and watching live matches.

Friendly Fixtures

Arranging sporting fixtures can be a bit of a logistical nightmare if you do not have a network of sports clubs and agents in place. This is where our expertise comes in handy. We can make all these arrangements for you, as we have a great network of local suppliers all around the world.

We’ll ask your team’s level before we start arranging your fixtures, so that we can make sure you play teams of a similar standard.

What better way to test your team than by entering them into tournament? Our longstanding relationships with local sports clubs, federations, schools and agents mean that we can enter your team into a number of tournaments either here in the UK or abroad.

Transport options

One major consideration for your tour is your mode of transport. Are you better off taking a coach or flying? Coach travel is cheaper but longer, while flying is faster but more expensive. Of course, should you need any information or advice, our Sports Tour Specialists are always on hand to help!

Coach travel is great for trips within the UK, and most of western Europe. We use a range of coaches, from mini-coaches that seat up to 30, to large 72-seat cruisers. So, whatever your size of group, we’ll be able to arrange a suitable coach for you.

Should you choose to fly, you’ll be glad to know that all our flights and flight-inclusive packages are ATOL-protected. We can advise you the best possible times, fares and routes, making sure your tour gets off to the best possible start.

Choice of accommodation

You can choose from a great range of accommodation options. Whether you want to stay in a centrally-located hostel or a 4* hotel, we’ll listen carefully to your requirements and will advise on the best options in your chosen destination.

You can rest assured that your accommodation will be safe for your group. All the accommodation we use complies with local legislation regarding fire and general safety and is contracted either by fully-trained members of our own staff, or reputable local agents.

Your accommodation will have undergone a standard audit and risk assessment before we started using it. If we use that accommodation more than five times in one year, it receives a supplementary audit. For further information on this, please see our health and safety guide.

Just a quick note about hotel grading – this can vary. For example, a 4* hotel in Eastern Europe is generally the standard of 3* hotel in the UK. If you do want to check out your hotel before you travel, we will of course give you all the information you need, including the website.

 Exciting social programme

After training hard and pitting their skills against local opposition, your players will need to wind down. Add some exciting activities to your tour, such as visits to theme parks and water parks, karting, paintball and city tours – to name but a few of the options available!

We can also arrange stadium tours, including the Nou Camp, Bernabéu, Old Trafford and many, many more. Our Sports Tour Specialists will be very pleased to advise you on the options available in your chosen destination.

Peace of mind

When you choose to book a school sports tour with us, you’re choosing a sports tour company that’s fully-accredited and offers financial protection.

We’re also able to arrange sports travel insurance, so that we can ensure that you and your team are appropriately covered. If you already have insurance in place, please do check with your provider that all activities are covered.

Free place for tour organisers

We can include a free place for you as tour organiser in your quote – just ask us!

Personalised tour kit

Want to make this sporting experience even more memorable for your team? Why not add a special, personalised tour kit? We can arrange this for you through our selected kit partners, PSM Sportswear.

24-hour support

You need to feel fully supported in order to enjoy your role as party leader. That’s why we make sure we’re with you every step of the way, from the moment you first enquire to the moment you return home. Before you travel, we’ll give you a list of 24-hour emergency contact numbers – just in case.

You may also qualify for representative assistance. Of course, we’ll talk you through your options before you book, so that you can decide what would be right choice for your team.
