Resort Information
This traditional village sits in the high valley of the Margò, in Carnia, and offers the highest slopes in the region on the Varmost and Zoncolan, along the Panoramica delle Vette (Route of the Peaks). The skiing area has incredible views over Carnia, the Austrian mountains and the distant Julian Alps. Valcalda is the most popular area for winter sports and is linked by a relatively new cable car to skiing on Mount Zoncolan. There’s an 8km run down the back of the mountain, a long toboggan run and a slalom track with automatic timing.

Skiing Information
The resort offers 28km of skiable terrain. There are some great nursery slopes, which are close to the accommodation, and progression is both quick and easy. There are even some challenging black runs for the more advanced skiers in your group.
We had a great trip. Many thanks.– 41st Epping Forest Scout Group
