The villages are all well-served by an excellent lift system and the largest, Briançon, is both the highest city in the European Union (and only Davos is higher in Europe) and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The wide nursery slopes and excellent ski schools are ideal for beginners to have the space and support they need to get skiing. And there’s great skiing for intermediates too, with some great runs above the tree line. There’s even something to satisfy the advanced skiers in your group, with Olympic black runs! But what about snowboarders? Well, don’t worry, Serre Chevalier has that covered too, with a fantastic snow park!
