Skiing Information

Any beginners in your group will be positively spoilt for choice, thanks to the numerous beginner slopes. The majority of the ski area sits on what is actually a gently sloping plateau, making this a great choice for first-timers. That being said, La Plagne is also an intermediate skier’s paradise, as the slopes for this level of ability are superb. And for more advanced skiers, there are some challenging black runs to try. There's also a great snowpark, boardercross and half-pipe, to keep your snowboarders happy. With a top piste altitude of 3250m, this resort is high enough to ensure good snow coverage. La Plagne is also linked to Les Arcs via the ‘Paradiski’ cable car, making it one of the largest ski areas in France and, in fact, the world, with a whopping 425km of skiing!

An ideal location for school groups. Very close to the ski lifts so no long trudges when booted up. The hotel is safe and the area small enough for children to 'pop to the shop' when they wish to.

Our recently renovated traditional chalet-style centre is purpose built for school groups, and is only 2 minutes from the nearest lift!

It has some of the best facilities to be found in any ski resort hotel with a sunken disco, amphitheatre and stage, cinema, PlayStation games, Pool tables, Table Football, bar, restaurant and equipment store.

The rooms are based on 4 or 6 people in bunk beds with ensuite bathroom (some rooms have facilities in the corridor).

The ski instructors live in the accommodation and get involved in the highly varied in house après ski activities. Ski equipment is also taken from the centre for your convenience, ensuring that everything you need for an excellent school ski trip is all under one roof!

The food is served buffet style each day. Breakfast comprises of yoghurts, cereals, fruit juice, coffee and bread - don't be surprised to see that the coffee, tea or hot chocolate is taken French style - in a soup bowl!

Typically lunch is a DIY picnic made up at breakfast time (great choice of breads, meats, cheeses, pasta, salad, fruit, sweets etc). The picnic lunch means maximum time on the mountains without spending a fortune on expensive mountainside restaurants. If the weather is bad or your group wants an easier day, then you can also return to the centre for a hot lunch (eg. pastas, schnitzels, steaks and chips plus unlimited ice cream).

Free Wifi access is also included in your package.
