Incredible Conditions Ahead of February Half Term!09/02/2018 11:11:47
With many of you heading off on your school ski trips this February half term, the news could not be better!
The snow conditions in the Alps and the Pyrenees are currently excellent.
For those heading to the Alps, you’ll be pleased to know that forecasters are predicting a much quieter week than of late weather-wise. However, despite the lack of large amounts of fresh snow, it should remain cold enough to preserve conditions as they are, which means you can look forward to some great skiing.
And the snow conditions really are great across the main resorts in France, Italy and Austria. They’re good in Switzerland too. Italy in particular looks to be in great shape having benefited the most from recent snowfalls, but France and Austria are boasting excellent base depths too – as much as 4m in some resorts!
The picture is a little different in Andorra, where conditions are currently excellent (in fact, the best skiing of all can currently be found here) but heavy snowfalls are predicted for the coming week, potentially dumping a further 40cm.
Over in North America, the best skiing is currently to be had in Canada. But conditions are improving in the USA where some areas, including Colorado and Utah, had been struggling (although resorts in New England have been reporting consistent snowfall).
