A school trip to Dubai offers your students a fascinating introduction to the UAE and the Middle East!

Dubai is a unique destination that serves as both a dynamic business centre and a tourist paradise. From the timeless tranquillity of the desert to the lively bustle of the souks, Dubai offers a kaleidoscope of attractions for visitors.

Explore the dunes on a desert safari or take in the views of the city from a traditional Dhow. You can even spend some time exploring nearby Sharjah or Abu Dhabi.

Suggested Itinerary (Based on 5 days/4 nights )

Dubai Museum

Visit the Dubai Museum!

The Dubai Museum opened in 1971 to showcase to visitors the traditional way of life in the Emirate.

You’ll learn more about life along the coast and in the desert, in the cities or out in the countryside. You’ll be able to step on to the deck of a dhow, explore a traditional souk and enter a Bedouin tent.

And your students will discover more about the lives of fishermen, farmers and market vendors, and find out how and why the discovery of oil changed the fortunes of the Emirate.

Did you know?

The museum is housed in the Al-Fahidi Fort, which was built in 1787 and is considered the oldest existing building in Dubai!

Dubai City Tour

Take a Dubai City Tour!

Take a tour of Dubai to gain a better idea of the city’s history, culture and traditions.

You’ll see some of the city’s most iconic sights, including the Burj Al Arab. The world’s only 7-star hotel stands on an artificial island and is one of the tallest hotels in the world. Compare this with the more relaxed vibe of the Majilis Ghorfat, the summerhouse of Sheikh Rahid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, who ruled the country for more than three decades.

You’ll also explore magnificent mosques and busy souks, and extravagant palaces. A tour of the city is the perfect way to start your school trip to Dubai, ensuring that your students discover all it has to offer.

Did you know?

Dubai is one of seven emirates in the United Arab Emirates and one of only two that holds a veto (the other being Abu Dhabi) in national politics.

Dhow Cruise

Take a Dhow Cruise!

Experience traditional Arabian hospitality on a dhow cruise along the seafront! This is one of the best ways to see Dubai, from its modern, luxury hotels to its more traditional architecture.

The dhow is a sailing vessel used along coastal areas of the Persian Gulf, the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean and was traditionally used to transport heavy items along the coast, including fruit and fresh water.

On your cruise, you’ll not only enjoy the spectacular views of the city, you’ll also have the opportunity to experience Arabian hospitality, as you’ll be served dinner followed by fragrant Arabian coffee.

Did you know?

No-one’s quite sure of the origins of this iconic vessel. Some scholars believe it originated in India between 600 BC and 600 AD. Others believe it comes from Arabia.
