School Geography Trip to Tenerife
A geography school trip to Tenerife offers an exciting variety of geographical adventures for your students!
Tenerife is a veritable treasure trove for school geography groups. Closer to Africa than Europe, Tenerife’s crowning glory is the magnificent Mt. Teide, which is not only Spain’s highest point, but also an active stratovolcano that hints at the geological complexity of the island as a whole. The national park in which it sits is also home to a diverse range of other landforms and has long been an important centre for international geological research.
Your students will also have the opportunity to learn more about the human impact on the environment on a geography school trip to Tenerife. Visit the Piramides de Guimar, or one of the many banana plantations on the island, before visiting the Casas Bioclimaticas – a futuristic housing development boasting zero carbon emissions.
