A German school day trip to Aachen offers magical language learning experiences, all within easy reach of the UK!

Germany’s westernmost city is most famous as the favourite imperial residence of Charlemagne, the first Holy Roman Emperor and the ‘Father of Europe’.

The medieval city centre is charming and wonderful to visit at any time of year. But it really comes to life at Christmas, when many groups choose to combine visiting the lovely Christmas markets with the many other cultural experiences available here.
