Not to be missed is a visit to the Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917, where the British Dugout Experience and German Trench Experience will allow your students to step into the boots of the soldiers, to learn more about their experience of war.
And, of course, you’ll also have time to visit a number of cemeteries and memorials which will illustrate to your students the destructive power and futility of war. You may like to consider joining forces with your school's English department if their students are currently studying WW1 poetry, in order to offer this as a cross-curricular trip. Of course, if you decide you would like to spend longer in Ypres, we do also offer multiday options.
