This food ranking exercise has been designed to help your food technology students understand how some of their favourite foods compare when it comes to nutritional value, ultimately helping them to make better choices when it comes to their diet.
All your students need to do is cut out the pictures of the food and order them according to the category you choose.
For example, you can ask them to rank the breakfast options from lowest to highest in terms of calories, fat, carbohydrate or protein.
Only you have the nutritional information, so it will be interesting to see how they do!
When you give them the correct order, why not take a couple of minutes to discuss the outcome and maybe even chat about how they could make each option healthier?
Just by starting the conversation, you’ll be helping your students to think more about their food choices, helping them on their way to a healthier lifestyle.
