Youth Sport Trust - Upcoming Events

As the Youth Sport Trust’s Preferred Supplier for school sports tours, we know how exciting and insightful the charity’s events can be and look forward to attending the YST Conference every year.

So, to be sure you don’t miss any that you might be interested in, we’ve put together a quick round up of events taking place over this academic year:

School Games

The School Games is an initiative designed to open up to all young people the opportunity to take part in competitive school sport. The School Games consist of four types of competition – intra-school competition, local intra-school competition, county final and School Games national finals.

Healthy Lifestyle Champions

The Healthy Lifestyle Champions programme is an initiative designed to engage more students from low socio-economic groups, in order to increase wellbeing.

Lead Schools Networking

The YST’s network of lead schools are schools that are paving the way for others to support the YST’s mission to tackle the decline in young people’s wellbeing. To find out more, please see the YST’s website .

USA 2020 Challenge

In 2020, Ben Smith, 401 marathon runner and YST Ambassador, will be running a marathon in each of the 50 US states and then cycling between each one. He’s aiming to complete the 18,500-mile journey in 104 days, with the end of his challenge coinciding with YST’s National School Sport Week.

He’s hoping to raise £1 million to support the work of the 401 Foundation and Youth Sport Trust. And in doing so, he wants to engage schools in a ‘journey of wellbeing’. To find out more, please visit the YST website.

YST Conference

This annual event offers the opportunity to listen to expert speakers, enjoy workshops and learn more about the range of services available to schools, sport and health professionals. We’ll be in attendance again, so make sure you stop by our stand to say ‘hi’ and ask any questions you may have about school sports tours!
