Spring Skiing

And so, we come to the end of what has been another fantastic season! Thanks to everyone that has travelled with us this season, it’s been fantastic to see the number of tweets flooding in, with some fantastic pictures of your adventures on the slopes!

Many of you opted to travel later in the season and were not disappointed, with fantastic conditions in many resorts, thanks to a great build-up of snow over the course of the winter. Spring skiing certainly offers school groups many advantages, not least the sunnier weather and less-crowded slopes.

Spring Skiing

We are certainly huge fans of spring skiing, when you can swap thick, thermal layers for shades and sunscreen. The more pleasant weather means that you can enjoy long lunches on the mountain and an even greater range of après-ski activities. All this makes for a more laid back atmosphere in many resorts.

If you are thinking about arranging your school ski trip for the spring, there are a few things that you should consider. As the weather will be warmer, resorts that are higher altitude or further north will generally offer better conditions, as they will remain colder, preserving any snow that falls (and snowfall during the spring is actually more common than you might expect).

Remember, our Ski Specialists are always on hand to advise you on the most suitable resorts for your group and for the time of year that you plan to travel. They are all experienced skiers themselves, with great knowledge and experience of the resorts that we offer. Some of our top tips for spring skiing are as follows:

High-Altitude

Les Arcs

La Thuile

• Sestriere (Milky Way)

Madonna di Campiglio

Passo Tonale

Monterosa

Les 2 Alpes

Ziller Valley

Good Easter Snow Record

Prato Nevoso

Aprica

Pamporovo

St. Gervais

Sportwelt
