A Look Back to Last Season...

It’s always fantastic to hear from party leaders that they and their groups have enjoyed their tour, and last season we were truly overwhelmed with the volume of positive feedback that we received. Many highlighted the great choice of destination for their specific group, and the advice and support that they received from our specialist team of ski travel experts. Many party leaders were also impressed with the quality of ski instruction that their school groups received on the slopes.

We’re busy making the arrangements for what promises to be a great season, and this got us thinking about what a great time we had last season. We thought we would bring you some highlights which may inspire your next school ski trip!

Party Leaders’ Verdicts

Instruction on the slope was some of the best we have had – nothing was too much bother and they were very patient with our pupils.Queen Elizabeth School, Alp 2500, 02/15

UCPA Plagne 1800 was excellent – extremely well run. They are perfectly set up for school groups, everything is well organised and all conveniently on-site. Food was excellent. Location very good.” Bedstone College, La Plagne, 03/15

New Year & Easter Inspection Visits

Each year, we run a couple of inspection visits designed to give teachers and party leaders the opportunity to experience what Halsbury has to offer for school ski groups, carry out risk assessments and get some ideas for future school ski trips!

These visits are always a massive highlight of the year for us. Not only do we get to enjoy some fantastic skiing, alongside other keen skiers, but we also get to spend some time with the very people we design our school ski tours for. These visits allow us to show party leaders what we can do and also give us the opportunity to find out what they want from a school ski tour, meaning that we are able to keep tailoring our services to meet the needs of our customers.

Over the New Year period we took a group of party leaders to Prato Nevoso/Artesina, one of our most popular destinations and a fantastic option for school ski groups. Then, over Easter, our inspection visit took us to the Skirama Dolomiti and Aprica, allowing our party leaders to ski nine of Italy’s top resorts.

We will be running our inspection visits again next season, so if you are interested in joining us in 2016, please do contact us to register your interest.
