Kayaking is very similar to canoeing however kayaks have closed cockpits and a canoe has an open cockpit. Kayakers also sit in a seat on the bottom of the boat with their legs extended out in front of them. The students will normally learn how to enter the kayak, capsizing and paddling skills.
