Venue of the Month - January

It’s January and we’re all daydreaming about when we’ll next enjoy a bit of sunshine and warmer weather. And so it’s fitting that our venue of the month for January should be in a destination renowned for its spectacular weather – Barcelona and the Costa Brava.

It’s January and we’re all daydreaming about when we’ll next enjoy a bit of sunshine and warmer weather. And so it’s fitting that our venue of the month for January should be in a destination renowned for its spectacular weather – Barcelona and the Costa Brava

And the venue itself? The city’s magnificent cathedral – the Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia.

Located in the heart of the city’s atmospheric Gothic Quarter, bordering La Rambla, the cathedral is well known among locals and tourists as one of the city’s key musical hotspots – both afternoon and evening concerts occur daily here.

Choose to perform here, and you’ll perform on the high altar, looking out across the central nave. The acoustics are incredible and you can be certain of an enthusiastic audience thanks to the venue’s reputation.

This venue is best suited to choirs and orchestras with sacred or classical repertoires. And you can choose between an afternoon or evening concert. Whichever you choose, your young musicians are certain to be inspired by the experience of performing in this majestic cathedral in the heart of Barcelona.
