What started out as a traditional German event, albeit in a Mediterranean beach resort one hour from Barcelona, has transformed into an international music festival. And now your ensemble can be a part of it!
Calella's Oktoberfest has been running for 30 years and attracts ensembles from around 10-15 countries, totalling around 2,800 performers, every year! Many of those who do perform at the event return year-after-year (around 70%).
Events usually take place on the town’s Blue Flag beach, in a large marquee with a maximum capacity of 3,000. The popularity of the event among locals and tourists, as well as the size of the venue means that you can expect to perform to large, appreciative audiences, making for a fantastic performance experience for your performers.
This year’s event takes place from 30th September until 21st October 2017. There are still a few places available, but you’ll have to be quick as the booking deadline is 1st July 2017!
