France’s leading science museum hosts static and interactive exhibitions on a range of environmental and technological themes, including climate change and fossil fuels, as well as audio-visual presentations and a planetarium.
The Palais de la Decouverte (Palace of Discovery) was brought about through the efforts of Jean Perrin, Nobel Prize winner for Physics in 1926 for his work on the atom. In creating this educational museum, Perrin wanted to demonstrate the role which science has played in the creation of our civilization and that "nothing new could be hoped for, nothing could change destiny...
In just 38 seconds, Europe's fastest elevator will transport you up the Montparnasse tower to a height of 196 metres, where the most beautiful view of Paris stretches out beneath you. Just a few steps further is the capital's largest open-air panoramic terrace, which promises an unforgettable 360º experience. On a clear day it is possible to see as far as 40km!
The instantly recognisable symbol of Paris, the Eiffel Tower, can be seen from almost any point in the city, and the view from the top is truly awe-inspiring. It dominates Paris to such an extent that it's hard to believe it's only a little over a century old, having been built in 1889 to celebrate the centenary of the French revolution. No trip to Paris would be complete without a visit. ...

What our teachers had to say about this destination
The trip was excellent and perfect for our needs. The students had the time of their lives and so did the teachers.
Very happy with Halsbury again; clear, detailed information. The choice of hotel was excellent; the staff were very helpful and the restaurant Aphrodite was equally good and welcoming. We would definitely would like to stay there again on our next trip. Our driver was very friendly and professional; he knew his whereabouts and we felt that we were in good hands with him.
Thank you so, so much for everything that you have done for us over the past year! I've thoroughly enjoyed organising our trip with you, and you have made everything very simple and straightforward, so that the planning was able to run smoothly. Everyone had an incredible time in Paris - all of the concerts were wonderful (particularly Disney!), and the itinerary was perfect and so jam-packed that we returned to England with a very happy but tired coach load of people!
An excellent trip and excellent service from Halsbury!
