Good news for UK school groups travelling to Iceland; Icelandair have announced a new route from Birmingham to Reykjavik. Flights on this route will start to operate from February next year and will run twice weekly, on Mondays and Thursdays. Flights go on sale today (28th May 2014).
Birmingham will become Icelandair’s fifth gateway in the UK, as they already operate flights to the Icelandic capital from Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester and Glasgow. With flights now available from the Midlands, the ever popular Nordic nation, with its fascinating geography and geothermal activity, will become more accessible for school groups wishing to arrange a geography or art trip to Iceland.
