Depart school and travel to Kenilworth Castle and Elizabethan Gardens
Time for lunch
A Tudor-themed history school trip to Kenilworth Castle and Stratford-Upon-Avon offers your students the opportunity to step back in time and really experience what life was like during the period.
Enhance your study of Kenilworth Castle with a visit to its mighty Norman keep and its opulent Elizabethan garden. The Earl of Leicester greatly invested in his castle, to try to convince Queen Elizabeth I to marry him and so it is a fantastic example of Elizabethan style.
Further your students’ understanding of the historic environment by visiting some of England’s other magnificent Tudor manor houses, including Kirby Hall. You’ll also be able to experience some of the most important sites from the Reformation and see what life was like during the Golden Age. Plus, delve into the world of Shakespeare and the role of the theatre in Elizabethan society.
Why not team up with your school's English department and make this a cross-curricular school trip?
