WW1 Medical Aid School Trip to Ypres

Are your students studying the development of medical aid on the Western Front during WW1? A history school trip to Ypres will give them the chance to explore the period for themselves.

This school trip focuses on WW1 medical aid, so your students will learn that the conditions experienced in the trenches, as well as the development of weapons, posed significant challenges for the medical profession. Innovation and experimentation were required to treat the vast numbers of wounded soldiers.

Your students will also learn about the role of the Royal Army Medical Corps and the First Aid Nursing Yeomanry. They’ll also discover how the Western Front revolutionised medicine and surgery.

Reviews

Kirk Hallam Academy, June 2019

A fabulous trip, the organisers couldn't do enough for us. The students loved it and the itinerary planned was so varied that the students were amazed by the amount of experiences that they received in such a short amount of time.
